Re: Sunshine (lack of)

In the Netherlands we had quite a sunny November, and very moderate temperatures. But the last few days. On the whole the weather this year was nice; relatively a lot of sun, no extraordinary cold days and nights in winter, no scorching warm days but a few in summer. I don't mind it being like this ...

Re: What are the very best cacti and succulents?

Anything weird looking or gigantic.

Weird: warts and squareness of Pseudolithos cubiformis, twirling leaves of Albuca spiralis, Pachypodium brevicaule.

Gigantic: full grown Carnegiae gigantea, full grown Ferocactus platyacanthus, old Baobab tree.

Re: Bowiea volubilis

No problem keeping the seeds a few months. I do. And distribute them for free on my seed list for up to a year or so. From responses I got previously the seeds yielded a (close to) 100% germination rate. I harvest the seeds in autumn and most people sow in spring or summer. Personally I doubt if the...

The seed list of Ludwig Bercht has been updated: www.bercht-cactus.nl/bl.php?a=index&l=en.
Main focus of this seed list is on South American cacti.

Re: Massonia tenella

Yes, certainly has all the hallmarks of pustulata. Flowers look a little crumpled, I'm surprised they are not expanded. Have the bulbs been watered sufficiently previous to this? I test to see if the leaf is rigid or slightly limp before deciding whether to water or not. I will also add that my pus...
