It is lovely to see your cacti and all their splendid flowers, the flowers have cheered me up on this cold winter evening here in Sheffield. On Monday we had about 5 inches of snow which is still lingering today.
Best wishes for 2015, we are thinking of you and your plants in sunny Jamaica!

Re: Lithops seeds
That is a very interesting question, normally the seed of lithops is described as small or dust like.
Certainly I have never seen anything definitive about Lithops seed size in the literature and it is fascinating to see your pictures and the difference in seed morphology.

Welcome to the Forum,
Schlumbergera flowers are very beautiful,- it's good to have some flowers at this time of year.
You mention ordering some new plants, can I ask where thay are from?

Re: Early Manchester Branch pictures. After people IDs pleas
I have enjoyed looking at these pictures Chris, thank you for posting them. I wondered if there were any Sheffield members on the trips but do not recognise anyone. It was lovely to see a picture of a very young Brian , and good to know that he is presently Manchester Branch Chairman. Keep up the go...

Re: Tylecodon striatus
I recently came across an article about Tylecodons which was published in the BCSS Journal in June 1991. Written by Tom Jemkins is is called "Succulents of Winter Interest."
After reading it I repotted some of my Tylecodons, (about a month ago) and they loved it.

Re: Ethiopia presentation
Really looking forward to seeing your presentation at the Zone 3 Rally next Saturday, - it's good to have a taster!
The Zone 3 Rally is the last big event of the year in this part of the country, is is always a "good do" as we say in the North.
