Re: Belated National Show thread
Thanks for the pics, Victoria. I'm 99.9% sure the Cereus is what I know as Pygmaecereus densiaculeatus (what a mouthful!),it now seems to be known as Haageocereus lanugispinus . This seems to be very rarely seen in its "normal" form, I do have the cristate form, which sometimes throws off ...

Re: My new greenhouse
Magnificent view, Ross! Bet those winter storms can be a bit worrying, though!

Re: More Conophytum flowers
Yes, Andy - I'm lucky not to be overshadowed, though a neighbour's conifer has grown tall enough to cast a lot of shade in winter when the sun is low, just when you don't need it!

Re: Lithops werneri
Lindsey, these are now in square plastic BEFs - the L. werneri is in a 2.75" and is touching the sides. I repotted into plastic squares, laughingly thinking I would gain some extra space! Well, I did, but not very much! But at least that space is maximised more efficiently. Most of my lithops a...

Re: Taveresia grandiflora 4" pot
Well done, Tina, getting flowers on your Taveresia! I lost the two I grew from seed last year - they succumbed after the winter even though they had been on a heat mat, maybe they got too dry. It's not the easiest plant to grow, Tom Jenkins had a huge pan many years ago, and my brother -in-law once ...

Re: what on earth is this
I cannot imagine anyone being tempted to bid on this! If it is an adro, it looks as if it's lost most of its leaves, if it were mine it would go in the bin!

Re: Euphorbia bupleurifolia
Robert, this is a hybrid between E. bupleurifolia, and E. suzannae, and is quite readily availably, whereas E. bupleurifolia is not.

..and in Steve Hammer's "Lithops treasures of the Veld" he mentions that it is sometimes self-fertile - I'll have to give it a stroke!

Dinteranthus puberulus
I did post a pic of this last year, no apologies for doing so again, it is really pushing the flowers out this year! It demonstrates the change in flower colour as they age - starting almost white, and turning to lilac. Grown from seed in 2000.
