Re: Mealy bugs!
Yes please McFarland, please do send me a message! I'm always interested in different ways to get rid of pests on my plants. DaveW, I've already tried reliable old washing up liquid in water on the leaves/bodies but it didn't seem to make the slightest bit of difference. Meths sounds like a good ide...

Mealy bugs!
Does anybody have a tried-and-tested cure for them? I have tried a couple of different sprays and a few home remedies from my dad, but still they are there.

Re: Macavity's collection
In that case, here are a few more! :-)
Some of my plants may actually be incorrectly labelled - I have often found succulents labelled incorrectly at the garden centres I buy from so a few of them are unknowns... I do have a soft spot for euphorbias so you can probably spot some in there.

Re: Which way do your labels face?
I put my labels facing inwards and upwards, but that's just because most of my pots are below eye level and it's easier for me to look downwards at them!

Macavity's collection
I was only able to put five on here, but it gives a general impression. I picked mainly succulents but there may be a few others in there too! Sadly all my best photos are of other people's plants so I can't put those up, but if anybody is interested then let me know and I'll send the link to my Fac...

Kingston members?
Just realised our monthly meet is this Thursday. Is anybody going my way who could give me a lift there/back? If not no worries, I shall brave the bus and pray the Olympics don't affect them!

Re: Need an identification please
Well, I was selling them a long time ago on ebay and I wanted to keep track of which ones were currently listed.

Re: 'Places to Visit in the UK' forum?
Not strictly speaking a public collection, but one of the RHS open gardens in Cobham (Chestnut Lodge) has a fairly large collection of succulents. They are only open the one day a year so I'm not sure if it's worth putting on your list, but it is definitely worth going to if you are in the area. I h...

Re: Need an identification please
Thanks. It's pretty difficult to identify an echinopsis and this gives me a better idea what to tell people when selling. Unfortunately none of them have flowered in the year or so that I have had them but they're not exactly in ideal conditions at the moment. Incidentally if anybody wants one then ...
