Re: Loph.fricii

Thank you for the detail Eric, mine is in equal parts JI #2 / horticultural grit / perlite so there will be a bit of lime from the JI. It lives in a 2& 3/4" square 'deep' pot on a high, full sun shelf with the Turbs.
I think I need some Arios to keep them company. :)

Re: Loph.fricii

It is a rather nice looking plant Eric, I have a very young one which is growing surprisingly quickly though I suspect they slow down later in life.
Out of interest what is in your special Ariocarpus mix?

Re: Cacti Rescue advice for newbie

I wonder: does this mean they were three plants potted together,
Wonder not, it is quite common practice for plants sold in garden centres and florists.

Re: Hi there! Newbie seeking advice!

Hi Megan, if you are interested in trailing succulents you might also like Ceropegia woodii
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ceropegia_woodii
which in I think is a much more interesting plant.

I did have both in my original collection but not anymore or I would have offered to send you some cuttings.

Re: Cacti Rescue advice for newbie

Hi Leandra, I agree with Rod, picture 024 clearly shows thee seperate root systems. Cutting the rot off the top of the third one was a good move, it should dry out and form a scar over the cut section. Eventually it will make new stems from the scar tissue, when big enough these can be seperated fro...

Re: Hello!

Hi Jen, welcome to the forum. I am sure you will enjoy your new greenhouse, my Stapilias have been banished to the greenhouse after my wife spent hours last summer tracking down the dead mouse smell, she was quite sure that cat had left us a present somewhere under the sofa. :)

Re: Cacti Rescue advice for newbie

Thankyou habanerocat and picnic! I haven't forgotten you guys, just been very busy lately. I now have two new acquisitions, one of which was a 10p rescue from Wilkos! Poor thing- a columnar- has three columns, one which looks healthy, one that is half rotted and split and one with a tiny bit of rot...

Suggestions very much welcomed as no improvement just yet.

Hi Deltron, sorry I can not help, perhaps if you posted some pictures of the damage to plant some of the more experianced growers could comment on your Adenium.
