hi Nick, mine definitely had faintly scented flowers until I inadvertently killed it by moving to a too chilly greenhouse over winter. I believe the Mesemb Study Group (MSG) still provides an annual seed list for members. You could consider joining them. I was a member a couple of years ago and bought quite a lot of different species of Lithops seeds, most of which gave excellent germination.

Sorry to hear about your plants Mike. I'm no expert on Aloes but I recently lost my A. erinacea which similarly seemed to rot from the centre. I put it down to the extreme (for UK) hot weather we had during the summer. Hopefully somebody more knowledgeable on Aloes will have an opinion.

I had one on a H. reinwardtii last year which I left attached until earlier this year and is now doing well on its own roots. I've had no more since unfortunately.
