I don't know about your plant specifically but many epicactus hybrids are suspected of being infected with different viruses although these are probably viruses linked to Opuntia which have been used to graft on for decades.

This is a nifty little app isnt it? it will be perfect for using on the go when buying plants at branch sales etc.
