Re: Help please - is this a mealybug attack?
Hi FaeLLe I use a small artist's paintbrush with a fine point on it. this allows me to put the meths or whatever exactly onto the mealy bug. For a large number of mealies I have used one of the small hand sprayers with a mixture of water and meths (about 2 parts to 1 part). I spray the plant all ov...

Re: Help please - is this a mealybug attack?
Thanks a lot for your reply Carl. Do I need to change the soil too? I guess I might as well to be careful. No other plants seem to have any residue of a similar manner on them so I am unsure if I should just wipe all the plants with alcohol anyway to keep them safe? What if spray the whole thing wit...

Help please - is this a mealybug attack?
So I just got a new mini greenhouse indoors and all my plants have been happily living in it under a grow light. This evening I returned from work to find my Gymnocalycium quehlianum (like a cactus) had some white powder substance under the thorns / spikes. Initially I thought it is probably limesca...

Re: Adenium Obesum - Request thoughts on setup
Just wanted to share an update; I moved the plant inside a room (out of the hallway where it got cold I guess) and placed it under grow lights. It is now coming up with new leaves and flower buds and the top most flower buds have opened up. Looks like it is coming into growth period where I will nee...

Re: Titanopsis calcareum and an unknown cactus Solved
Your Titanopsis calcarea is so green! Mine are all sorts including gray, stone colour etc.
Wonder what makes it so green...
Looks like mine is growing in Spring as only a few are green (new growth I believe).

Re: Adenium Obesum - Request thoughts on setup
Its me again, I flipped the pot upside down and found that the roots had basically massacred the pot drainage holes and were basically being suffocated. Due to the way they were growing wide *after* the drainage hole the plant could not be pulled out and the entire pot had to be cut away. Some pictu...

Re: Adenium Obesum - Request thoughts on setup
Hi folks, Just wanted to share an update. My Adenium leaves have started going yellow pretty much all around he plant. So I have now moved it under a 300W LED grow light in a room that stays around 20-24 C all day around. Hope it pulls through, not sure if repotting now is a good idea despite me not...

Re: Adenium Obesum - Request thoughts on setup
Yes, it's a Crassula ovata . And yes, I grow my adeniums under artificial light. Under strong LED light in heated ventilated grow tents. It looks like that the flowers of your tree will be quite different from the standard obesum type. Keep us updated! About the soil...I would definitely cha...
