Re: Ideas for branch meetings
In my early days of membership Kettering branch used to use TV shows as a basis for entertainment meetings. Do you remember "going for a song"? 2 teams of 3, one member having to identify a plant for a point, where it was from for another point then both teams putting a price on it with an...

Where has my spiral gone?!
Spiralis.jpg I came across this plant yesterday. Always been intrigued by the spirals - how some go one way, some the other, and some changing their mind part way up. Tried to find info about them on the net but didn't find anything helpful - if there is I didn't choose the magic words for the sear...

Re: Bill Keen - RIP
Sad to hear of Bill's passing. He must have been a good age - it is a long time since I've seen him at a Cactus Meeting. I have many memories of him, and many people will recall his introductory class for those new to Judging at the Judges course. Always kindly and helpful. A stalwart of the Coventr...

Re: Which brand of John Innes?
I use to be pleased with Westland but the last lot I got was totally different. Seems to me that there is composted green waste instead of the peat - but there is no mention of reduced peat on the pack. I've since bought some Arthur Bowers which I believe is from the same company which is in 25 litr...

But think of the value you'd get from the rest of the book!
However it says:
Keros - wax pege - fountain Linnaeus thought the flowers the flowers looked like a fountain of wax.
That's all!
With compliments!
