I had a look at this plant last night and there's a tiny bud forming on one of the newer tubercles, so it should perform again soon. Amazing that such a scruffy plant can produce something so beautiful isn't it?

I must have a go at raising some of these... I haven't owned an Obesa for donkey's years. In fact I can't even remember what happened to the one I had. They're lovely things though.

And, more importantly, why is yours a good three weeks ahead of mine?

Yes, two Conophytums, one with absolutely tiny heads, the other a little larger. I'll post photos when I get to it and see if anyone can identify them. They were poor-looking things when I got them, but with a bit of TLC they flowered the following year. They were 79p each! Anyway, thanks for the we...
