Re: C & S survey

To all of you who said that you’ve just done the survey in response to Antun’s post, I would like to say that this survey was mentioned, and linked to, in the March eNews so I’m presuming that none of you are subscribers to that. In which case I’d like to say that it is really worth subscribing to t...

Mammillaria talk tonight

Join Chris Davies, Chairman of the Mammillaria Society and holder of the National Collection of Mammillaria for a talk on his collection. This is the first of a series of online talks arranged by the Mammillaria Society for its members and others interested in this group of plants. The talk will sta...

Re: David Kirkbright RIP

David was a kind and generous man. He was fun to be with as I discovered on our trip to South Africa just a couple of years ago, but it’s for his long and dedicated service to the society that he will be remembered for. I will miss him. Condolences to his family.

Re: Bcss zoom meetings

Just for the record I’d like to say that everything worked just fine for me. Audio was perfect and the slides moved on just fine apart from the odd occasion when the speaker himself declared that they had frozen at his end. I watched mine on a MacBook laptop.

Sorry to hear you had problems.

Yes, as far as I know, the talks are not in English.

Eric,

Please sign up to the BCSS eNews which you’ll get sent to your email address. It’s published every month and contains news and articles as well as the Zoom talks for that month.

The March eNews should be out on Sunday so try and sign up before then.

Cheers

Where are you getting “light watering” from. If you read Nick’s post carefully he says quite clearly that he’s always gone in “hung ho with a total soaking”.

Re: Terry Smale

I met Terry on numerous occasions and have communicated regularly with him as he was a major contributor to the CactusWorld journal in recent years. His knowledge of many different plant families, not just succulent ones, was vast as were his cultivation abilities. I will miss him terribly. But he w...

Re: December Cactus world is here

I’m not sure I understand exactly what you’re asking? The journal production team is responsible for ensuring that the journal is edited, produced and dispatched each quarter. As Bill said, a mailing house is employed and all journals are dispatched on the same day (both overseas and domestic). What...
