Cracking! All these flowers are making me green - I'd say I've got another 2 or more probably 3 weeks before I get my first flower of the year.

It's a fascinating guessing game. My big Maihueniopsis subterranea has some promising signs - I'll get a photo tomorrow. It hasn't flowered before (for me anyway, it came from John Marsden's collection dispersal) but it's certainly big enough and the buds are higher up on the stems than I'd expect f...

You could sink the plants, still in their pots, in gravel - either to check how it looks or longterm, to allow you to change it fairly easily should necessity or whim dictate.
