A. crispicrinita is the plant I know as having thin weak curly hairs (crispicrinitus means literally 'with tufts of curled weak hairs') as below: crispicrinita.jpg Phil's main question re. status of A. lagopus subsp. lagopus is the tricky one, certainly for us who haven't visited the plants in habit...

Ho Ho! Yes (!?) Terry - Bakker of Spalding have imported them from Holland too - but with the health warning in their advert, "It has been coated with a special paint that feels like felt!"

But I'm sure Al will order many to pass on to his friends :wink:
