Re: Communication
Hi Lindsey, We try to use these avenues where possible but we know from comments we receive that a very large number of members do not have access to the website (mainly older members who make up a large proportion of the mebership). Announce is mainly aimed at branch/zone/national officials and sti...

Re: You like books?
We get the criticism but rarely any constructive suggestions. If you think our communication with branches is so poor how about putting your concerns, with specific examples in writing to the Society Secretary together with detailed suggestions as to how and where this can be improved. This could th...

Re: You like books?
Hi Chris,
I take your point and whilst not explicitly stated I was under the impression that Maggs would put a brief explanation in with the catalogue.

Re: Haworthia cooperi var venusta
This one has been on my wants list for some time but whenever anyone has some for sale I always seem to get there just after the last one's gone. If anyone knows of a source for a good plant please let me know, preferably by email otherwise everyone else will get there first!!!

Re: Aloe albiflora
After a search I have found Roy's posting under 'small aloes'. It almost certainly looks like a Bellatula x Albiflora hybrid. I grow both and the flowers of Bellatula are much more like those in Roy's photo.

Re: Aloe albiflora
That certainly looks the same as the plant I have been growing for the last 20 years as Albiflora. It has long been one of my favourite Aloes. I cant comment on the previous posting as I have not seen it.

Re: You like books?
This was not only a service to Members but also to Keith's widow. Had we put an advert in the Journal it would not have appeared until the December issue nor would it have included the full list. As Maggs were mailing their own considerable distribution list this week many of the most desirable book...

Re: You like books?
Thanks Bill,
I will put a similar explanation in the December Journal for those that do not have access to the Forum.
