Photo Gallery

Post by Admin & Mods »

I have just had to go through the gallery and delete some users and their comments, as they contained links to some rather dodgy websites, if you spot any that I have missed please let me know.

Thanks to AgaveGeoff who alerted us to this.

Hi Emilio

Most members are aware of it, I suppose it's a case of getting round to it, I probably as guilty as most I put them in my own gallery but not the societies.

Forum on Saguaros

Post by Doris »

I was wondering if it was okay to use some of your great photos in the magazine article I am preparing. Right now it's just as an assignment for my writing class, but in future I hope to sell it to a children's magazine. I don't usually worry about taking photos off the internet, as it is mostly for educational, not-for-profit purposes, but when I'm hoping to sell an article, it becomes a different ball game.

The photo I was hoping to use shows a fellow with his back to a huge saguaro; the post talks about "hugging" it. I think he took it in Tucson. I haven't been able to find that particular post again, to ask him if I can use it. Perhaps you can help me find it, so I can deal directly with him. Thanks! Doris Dejwakh

Hi Doris

The copyright of photographs used on this site and the gallery remain with the original copyright holder, in most cases this will be the person who posted then, occasional it may be someone else's, I would suggest you to speak to who ever posted any images you wish to use.
