Maybe a hanging pot rather than a basket would be the best solution. I believe Tom Jenkins succeeded flowering his Edithcolea in a hanging pot/basket. It's something I intend to do this summer, I have a smallish plant bought last year and put it on a high shelf, which retained its wonderful copper colour, although it is now confined to the propagator, so has reverted to green again. It did produce some embryo buds, but too late in the year to develop, so I'd love to achieve better results this summer.
