This one is already for weeks outside in the garden; so nasty little green attackers try and taste some of it's juice. What do you think? Should I do something or leave it as it is?

ps. today I saw more green monsters

It looks bigger than them , so it should win ; any light insect spray should be ok if you are worried

...or brush them off with a stiff paint brush if there're only a couple.

Go on a ladybird hunt, I'm sure they would be happy to be relocated to the spiky feast zone.

I come across a lot of ones and twos of greenfly at the moment but no infestations yet. Maybe it's a bit early for lots of ladybirds, too, although there are some about, I haven't seen any larvae yet either.
Obsessive Crassulaceae lover, especially Aeoniums but also grow, Aloes, Agaves, Haworthias and a select number of Cacti.

I've had a real problem with greenfly on my bamboo this spring Liz, ladybirds about but not in great numbers, larvae have appeared the last couple of days but not enough of them I fear to see off the aphids.

Re: Echinocereus reichenbachii under attack
Ladybirds seem to be thriving in Yorkshire this last year, not the evil harlequins either- I've only seen one or two of those, and have dispatched them as soon as I did. I've seen a lot more lacewing lately too.
I've put out food and a ladybird/lacewing house for them, they absolutely devastated a blackfly infestation that turned up on an opuntia last year.
You can buy ladybird attractant at some garden centres, or I think the Eden project shop will ship it.
