A really stunning Pleiospilos, Ian!
But..ahem...the Royal red (flush) of Brian is rather making me speechless! THAT is a colour!!!! Both, body and flower! Congrats to having such a beauty!

Is Pleiospilos nelii cv Royal Flush different from Pleiospilos nelii cv Rubra, by the way?BrianMc wrote:I say strangely - that is strangely for P.nelii - s.l. - but anything seems to go for cv Royal Flush!

Re: One or two mesembs
There is no P. nelii 'Rubra', only P. nelii 'Royal Flush'. There's a Lithops optica 'Rubra', but it looks a little different. Could be flowering soon though!

You are almost spot on correct Derek. North West Mesemb Show will be Saturday 12th October 2013 with more details later in the events page. The judge and speaker will be Ian Thwaites with the talk entitled, Namaqualand.

Re: One or two mesembs
Not so interested if it is name 1 or name 2, just as long as I know they are the same. Thanks, Iann. Was thinking there might be some hidden difference between the two.iann wrote:There is no P. nelii 'Rubra', only P. nelii 'Royal Flush'.
