I think it depends on the size of the plant. My large plant is treated like any succulent. When the leaves start to turn golden I ease back on the watering and then give it a completely dry period over winter. However, small tissue culture plants seem to like a small drink over winter otherwise they can dry up. However I also have a small(ish) seedling which I kept dry last winter and it came through OK albeit it was slow to get going this spring. I overwinter all my succulents at 10 - 12 C.

Hope this helps and isn't too much waffle.

I do the same as Ian and also aim to keep the winter temperature at 10-15 degrees. Good luck with overwintering it in Sheffield!

A small selection of the little Dorstenia gigas forest here in Sheffield - one seedling grown by Gillian E I believe.

Hi Phil
If they are indoors & warmer I would give them some water, I kept mine growing all year to get better growth- they tell you if they are going to sleep when the leaves discolour & drop.
The little seedling was only 2" tall when I bought it from Gillian several years ago at the Oxford show.

I only started letting mine go dormant recently when they were bigger as they need dormancy to 'think about' developing flowers . First year I had one flower on one plant, second year two I have my fingers crossed for next year as I would like to grow my own seed.

Hi Mike
Yes you can get cuttings to root, I have managed to root some cuttings from my ISI plant it's not always easy but is possible.
