A stable Trithops

Here is a trilobed Lithops herrei C355 that stays trilobed. I thought they revert to the bilobed form after changing leaves.

I've read they can stay trilobed for multiple seasons rather than one. How long has yours been trilobed?

I find that Lithops can go 'wrong' quite often, not dividing properly or producing extra leaves, but it rarely extends beyond one or two growing seasons. I see your plant is rather immature and appears to be producing its first adult body this year. Seedlings can often appear with three cotyledons and they can often continue in that growth form while producing juvenile leaves. I will guess that in 2014 your plant will just have a normal body with two leaves or will have divided and have two normal bodies.

I had a Lithops schwantesii which stayed trilobed for 4 years
Then he flowered and in 2012 for the new leaves ..........2 heads of 2 leaves (td)
