Advices request for sowing some species

I just got some Massonia and Daubenya seeds in from the SABG (Southern African Bulb Group). I am tempting to sow them now, even though it is quite late in October already. Will they germinate, and will they grow well enough before next summer and their first dormancy?

I always in an unheated greenhouse, and I don't use additional lighting. I live in the Netherlands, so I am in a moderate cold climate. Temperatures during the day is about 10 to 15C (warmer in the greenhouse), at night around 5C. It gets light at around 7:30 in the morning at dark again at 18:30 (but of course day light time is diminishing at a rate of about five minutes a day at the moment).

Will it be wise to sow now, or just wait until next spring (or even next autumn, in September)? I am in doubt at the moment...

I have just sown the Yucca seeds. I will be sowing mesembs next week. Maybe I will sow Rauhia and Peperomia then too. I have one week to make up my mind.

And I did sow them. Yucca went very well. Peperomia went okay. No germination for Rauhia at all, unfortunately. I will restart them next spring.

Seriously, I think it just might stand for Baker's Kop, Free State

I found a "Wahlenbergia sp BK" here on this document

and the provenance Roux 3349, Free State, Baker's Kop

I should stress I know nothing about the plants or location, so this is pure conjecture.

On the other hand, historically, Burchell described a Massonia species Massonia jasminiflora which has distribution on Bowker's Kop near Queenstown Eastern cape.

So all I can do is hope this gives a couple of possible leads.....

Hmm, sounds plausible, but I am not sure there is such a thing? I though any Bushmanland was well north of the Greater or Little Karoos. But could be. I would favour a Kop option. Mattonia sp. SK might be found at Liverpool? ;-)

At least it seems it is a location reference rather than a plant finder. Can the seed supplier not help?

Anyone out there that can retrieve the 2013 seed list of the Southern African Bulb Group from their email? I wasn't a member then yet, and it is not on their website, unfortunately.

BK could refer to Bob Kent, a plant-hunting friend of Steve Hammer.

I came across him in a similar debate concerning an Adromischus I received with a BK reference.
He is a Haworthia specialist.
