Wonderful flowers, I especially like picture no 2. The petals are so numerous and flamelike.
Obsessive Crassulaceae lover, especially Aeoniums but also grow, Aloes, Agaves, Haworthias and a select number of Cacti.

That's how Pyrrhocactus get's it's name Liz (pyrrho Gk. = flame + cactus) a reference to the flowers on some looking like flames on the top. Also Pyrex tableware, meaning it was flame or heatproof, derives it's name from the same source.
