Re: How do I kill a yellow mold?
Hi,
A picture would be helpful!
A quick solution would be to scrape away as much soil as possible from the top of the pot and add new. A much better solution would be to tease away as much soil from around the plant as possible, and add a new much more grittier compost. Try and avoid a peaty compost or one made up of spent material such as hops etc., as these sometimes have mould in them , but usually harmless. Mould will be more attracted to constantly wet soils, so only water when necessary. A top dressing of grit or similar will also help to address this problem. Otherwise, a suitable fungal spray may have to be used if the problem persists.
