Re: Updated seed lists
Rod and Rachel had a small team that looked after the Silverhill Seed business while they were doing their work in the field. I understand that it is this team that is continuing with Silverhill Seeds although until new sources have been developed, the list of species available might be somewhat reduced.

Re: Updated seed lists
Unfortunately, I'm not impressed with the new website. Very cumbersome. It was a painful experience. And somehow the number of lithops on offer got cut in half. I didn't check out anything else, too slow and awkward to browse.
Some advice for those who want to buy more than 3 packages of seed: disable images in your browser (will speed up loading tremendously), and make sure you pop up a new window when you want to add something to your cart. The shop will force you to change pages every time you add something to the cart, and there is no 'back to shopping' button...

Re: Updated seed lists
As a predominantly grower of succulents other than mesembs it is of no use to me any more.
I would also miss Steve Brack's descriptions against each entry.
Re: Updated seed lists
Very curious, it seems to lack any locality data and you just have the Mesa number to check this out in old catalogues.

Re: Updated seed lists
Seems to be very few species on offer compared to their old lists - only 6 species of Mammillaria?? Agree, it's a bit clunky to use, time will tell how successful the new website is going to be.

Re: Updated seed lists
You can see the locality data, but you have to click on each separate offering.
I am also not very enthousiastic. They seem to communicate via Facebook. But why don't you communicate via your own website. I don't get companies that use Facebook or Twitter for their main communication. Why make yourself and your business depend upon a second party (and especially a dodgy one like Facebook, in this case).
Next to this, the list ordering they had before made it much easier to at least select anything you might be interested in. A simple button next to each offering to add it to the cart would already have been a great improvement. I wonder if they ever used the website of Köhres or Piltz.
Images don't add much. It only slows loading down, and cluthers up a "could be" neat looking orderly list. I wonder if a list option would be added anytime soon. I think that would add much to the now lacking functionality of the site.

Re: Updated seed lists
So far I am not impressed.....it is far too slow & once you have purchased, to resume buying only takes you back to the start of that Genus. Very few species listed as compared to the previous offering. I had a list of 29 varieties of mesemb that I wanted and only 8 were available to buy ! A great shame if the varieties cannot be continued as previously as this source was the largest on offer in the World !
