Re: Updated seed lists
The seed list of Ludwig Bercht has come out too. The website has not been updated (yet), but I received a list via e-mail. I am sure you can contact him via the website for a list request. Highly specialised on South American cacti, of which many many Gymnocalyciums.

Yeah I have a fair collection now but it's always nice to have a poke about in case anyone has anything out of the ordinary or with collection data

Re: Updated seed lists
As he says on his website, Paul Shirley does have unlisted stuff - I picked up a Selenicereus chrysocardium from him at the National Show in 2012 which I can't see on his site.
I, too, have had Ludwig Bercht's list by email. I'm not sure if he gave them permission but the Schuetziana Gymno News page on Facebook has the link to it on their page...

Re: Updated seed lists
I've purchased from paulshirleysucculents previously but I haven't inquired as to his "unlisted" plants it's surprisingly difficult to find epiphytic cacti with collection data unless your willing to pay a pretty penny from one of the European nurseries which I do occasionallyAiko wrote:Have you been in contact with Paul Shirley at http://www.paulshirleysucculents.nl? Interested in rare Melocactus seeds?
Have you seen the seedlist on http://www.cactus-adventures.com?
It is still the updated list of 2013 (last uppdated 20-10-2013).
Lots of, in my opinion, interesting Melo's from Cuba.
For example:
- Melocactus acunae JMA (Cajobabo, Imas, Cuba)
- Melocactus acunae ssp. lagunaensis JMA (La Farola, Imias, Cuba)
- Melocactus acunae ssp. lagunaensis cf. JMA (Los Cerezos, Rio Tacre, Cuba)
- Melocactus andinus GX + JB (Colombia)
- Melocactus borhidii JMA (Tortuguilla, Cuba)
- Melocactus evae HFM (Jatibonico, Guantánamo, Cuba)
- Melocactus guitartii (Manaquita) # GD 353
- Melocactus harlowii JMA (Macambo, Cuba)
- Melocactus harlowii JMA (San Antonio del Sur, Cuba)
- Melocactus harlowii f. candidus JMA (Macambo, Cuba)
- Melocactus harlowii aff. JMA (Socapa, O. Bahia de Santiago, Cuba)
- Melocactus hernandezii sp. nova GX (Candelaria, Corrales, Colombia)
- Melocactus holguinensis JMA (La Palma, Holguin, Cuba)
- Melocactus holguinensis JMA (dam population, Gibara, Holguin, Cuba)
- Melocactus laui AHB 40a # GD
- Melocactus lobelii AH 248# + JB
- Melocactus lobelii GD 308 (Isla Margarita)#
- Melocactus naguyi JMA (Pilon, Cuba)
- Melocactus radoczii JMA (Gujimero, Cuba) #
- Melocactus ruestii GD 328 (white fruits)
I have not ordered seeds from them but, in my opinion, they offer rare stuff.
Peter.

Re: Updated seed lists
Also African Bulbshas updated their list. You can request their list via http://www.africanbulbs.com/page28.html by sending them an e-mail. I spotted some very interesting Massonia seeds...!

Re: Updated seed lists
Problem with Joel Lode's seeds as Cactus Adventures is that they basically never germinate.
Have ordered from them lots over the years but only ever achieved germination rate of about 1 in every 100 different packets. Compared to places like Succseed where I get germination from 100 out of 100, or Kohres, and Piltz where I achieve probably about 95 out of every 100.
So whilst Joel has nice stuff listed, it's no use whatsoever if it doesn't germinate. Maybe it's changed, perhaps I'll give him another try.
