Spouting cactai

Post by Janoskijrb »

I brought this cactai from wisley 5 years ago, I'm not sure of the species, but it had a red and orange too but died, so I cut it off, and now it's has two spouts from the side, can anyone explain this and how long it'll grow for?

I think the red/orange part was another cactus (Gymnocalycium?) grafted onto a Hylocereus.
So now you have a Hylocereus which has to sprout from the side since the top was cut off.
But it looks good, it can probably become quite big.
