When I collected my plants many of them had faded labels or they had gone AWOL, this Gymnocalycium is one of the nameless, hopefully some one can point me in the right direction.
Taken six days ago, colour balance is wrong I was playing with a new to me used macro lens.
These were taken yesterday with a little more care ie. correct WB set and camera on a tripod.
And just for good luck, here is Ragonesii, there are eight or nine buds so hopefully some of them will make it.

Re: Un-named Gymnocalycium
That was very helpful Chris, my father kept a log of all the plants but Gymnocalycium hypiacanthum is not on the list however looking into hypiacanthum I find Graham Charles placed G.urugayensis as a sub species of hypiacanthum and urugayensis is on the list.Chris L wrote:Gymnocalycium hyptiacanthum, perhaps?
Thank you very much.

Re: Un-named Gymnocalycium
Thanks Dave, between my Father's note book and references http://gymnocalycium.free.fr/gymnocalyc ... ayense.php and here http://www.cactusinhabitat.org/index.ph ... d=140&l=en which links to Meregalli's key here http://www.cactusinhabitat.org/grafica/ ... 013-68.jpg, I think that will be sufficient for me to give it a label, perhaps with a little ? at the end.DaveW wrote:There are not that many yellow flowered Gymno's Keith, so check against the descriptions.
