I was given this Huernia and it was named "Transvaalensis" but clearly it is not.
Any ideas please.

Yes but as we hybrid fans know a hybrid plant isnt automatically a bad plant!!!!

If it is a hybrid it's a a lovely one at that. There seems to be a bit of hystrix about it although Richaud may be right.
