Each one of these flowers, if successfully pollinated, will produce a single, brownish, pea-like seed. Time will tell if there are any this time. As previously mentioned, I got three last time without being present to pollinate. They germinated. This time I was able to do some tickling!
Especially interested in Mesembs. small Aloes and South African miniatures and bulbs.

Been away for a while, but thought it appropriate to update my Boophone status.
The winter growing plant flowering in the photos has now flowered 4 times for me.
The summer growing plant mentioned above is now flowering for the first time.

I feel very lucky to have two flowering Boophone.
The winter grower I have had nearly 20 years and the Summer grower I acquired about 17 years ago

A genus, with which, up to this present time, I am not familiar. Certainly an attractive genus.
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

My self sown plant of 2015 still has its leaves, but start to turn yellow right now.

Thats lovely, shame it doesn't flower yearly, might it with age or is it affected by sun light .
Didn't someone set theirs alight to stimulate a bush fire or am I having a moment
