What do you expect if you buy the cheapest one you can find? There has to be a reason it was so cheap!

WOW they are B E A U T I F U L, I'm sure mine will get that big in 20years or so  , Ok I can dream.

It must be so nice to grow your plants outdoors, I have some of mine out but I still worry as it's been cold at night so you wonder if they will get rotten roots.

Here's an interesting dwarf Dorstenia gigas, I got it last year at ELK I was a little worried it could just be stunted growth but after a year of growing alongside my other gigas the leaves are still tiny not one bigger than 2 cm so it looks like it really is a 'bijoh form'.' Anyone else seen this before ??

Rene Geissler's plant exhibits similar tendancies to your last picture Tina.

Amazing plants! The Eagles, Beach Boys, or similar West Coast musician should write a song about them!

I can't believe all the flowers on their plants, do they get seedlings & seed everywhere ?.

You certainly would hope for a lot of seeds from those Californian specimens as Tina mentions -has anyone ordered/ grown seed offrered from Reunion island ?

I am lucky to have Rene Geissler's plant. Taking it easy with it this year, but clearly a lot of cuttings to take, my ambition being to distribute them about for nowt as usual. A lot of the non leafing arms are blunt but full of sap.

It's a bit of a monster - so still watching it, learning how it is, before doing too much.

Hi Lithos: Rene's plant was wonderful and also caught our imagination. I'm pleased it's now in new good hands.

Tina,

I have been to this greenhouse and seen these plants and yes, there are seedlings everywhere! In all the pots, and all through the gravel walkway. Everywhere! The owner's word of advice to me was, "They like deep pots".
