I'm new here so this is the first time that I've seen this thread. All that I have is a very embarrassing A.americana which I will show more love this year.

This is a good agave thread, that would be nice if we added to it and made it the main place to go for agave pictures , it would help with ID too.

Tina
thank you for reviving this thread.... I have added to this in the past, when I get chance I will take some more pics and upload them here. I have quite a few 'normal' agaves and we tend to post pictures of the fancy variegated types.

All Agave's welcome  , Love that Americana I had a huge plant in my front garden for many years and then 2 bad winters finished it off, I must get a new one for this house.

Here is an interesting one - grown from seed collected from Agave montana at its southern disjunct population. A natural hybrid between montana x mitis. proving to be handsome, tough and fast.

Really nice Paul. I think next year I will try a few outside again. I was looking back through this thread and my agave planter made me smile. It survived a few winters outside without any real issue, however it did not survive two puppies that took a liking to shredding the plants!

it is hard to believe how tough these plants are, I dug them all up in spring and they have all survived and will be ready to go back out next year.... just not where the pups can get them :)

Anyone had this before or know if it has a cv name from this parentage, this isn't where agave tuxedo kamen originates from is it ?.
agave tuxedo kamen probably the most beautiful agave IMHO, not that I'm biased.
agave tuxedo kamen is an unreltaed plant but I have hope for the new pup
