Cacti in films

We watched The wild bunch for the first time in years last night and were amused to note that in one of the 'hiding behind a rock on a hillside scenes' there was a bright purple cactus flower to be seen beside the head of one of the actors. Too brief a shot to ID it but you do wonder if mr Peckinpah chose to include it.

Google throws up a few of the more common ones. But this is one that sticks in the memory.

It's about a blind guy who has a collection of cacti. Lots of cactus in it.

Also remember an animated sequence made by Gordon Rowley, Cactus Polonaise (1963).

Unfortunately I have no idea where either can be downloaded.

I've no idea what it's about but it stars Harry Dean Stanton, yer man in the movie Paris, Texas.
I'll report back if it's any good.

Harry Dean Stanton and Cacti must be a winner.

Thanks, I'd never of guessed it was still for sale. I haven't bought a DVD in years.

That's a Region 1 DVD by the way, so it won't play in European players. Just in case anybody was thinking of buying it.

That would be typical Paul Cox.
Just looked at his bio there. He died in 2016.

By the way, viewed Lucky the other night.
A few landscape shots of Cacti. Slow moving film but an enjoyable watch all the same.
