Aeonium 'Bronze Medal'
I have had this Aeonium 'Bronze Medal' a few years now. It was just a normal kind of green until I put it out in the garden a couple of weeks ago. It's amazing what sun and rain will do to a plant.
Obsessive Crassulaceae lover, especially Aeoniums but also grow, Aloes, Agaves, Haworthias and a select number of Cacti.

Looks fabulous
You can take the boy out of the greenhouse, but you can't take the greenhouse out of the boy!

That is a gorgeous and unusual colour. I wonder what the parentage could be to give that caramel?

Re: Aeonium 'Bronze Medal'
I looked up the parentage, the Huntington website suggests that one is Aeonium sedifolium but does not know the other. As it is a hybrid it could have several species in its history, The dark colour it goes suggests to me that there is maybe some Aeonium 'Zwartkop' in it.

Re: Aeonium 'Bronze Medal'
As the OP said it's a result of being in full sun.

Greenlarry - sunlight would of course intensify the colour - but not the hue. caramel is a very uncommon colour in Aeonium.
Liz - A. sedifolium - interesting. Nothing else about the plant looks like that one!

Having said that is is quite densely branching and the leaves are very succulent. Very interesting!Paul in Essex wrote: Liz - A. sedifolium - interesting. Nothing else about the plant looks like that one!
