Cactus I'd please

Post by vickyw1804 »

Hello
I'm new to keeping cactus and came across this one in my local florist.

I know it definatly needs a bigger pot just waiting for a chance to get to the garden centre.

Also noticed some stage marks appeared recently.

I was hoping someone could help me Id it and advise about the marks

Thank you

Notocactus mammulosus/submammulosus, now also put into Parodia.

Some of the marks look like puncture marks from being stabbed by spines of another cactus, probably in transit from the nursery to reseller.

Thank you

Those marks were not there when I got it about a month ago.

My husband accidently knocked it to the floor, could that have caused it?

Regardless of the marks, it's a lovely healthy plant, and will look marvellous when it flowers, you made a good purchase!

Looks good. Can't wait to see those flowers open.
