Eriosyce chilensis v. albidiflora

Post by Mal H »

Given DaveW's nice travelogue of his Chile2015 trip, here is my E. chilensis v. albidiflora that coincidentally was in flower today.

Very nice subtle colour
You can take the boy out of the greenhouse, but you can't take the greenhouse out of the boy!

Should have a few pictures showing albidiflora in habitat in Pichidangui, Ritter's type locality for it, when I get around to putting them in. Here is the pink form from the other end of the range. It's a job telling Eriosyce subgibbosa and Eriosyce chilensis apart out of flower at Pichidangui.
