I have a little Discocactus horstii seedling about an inch across that I grew from seed a few years ago. I was about to pot it on, as it is in a tiny round pot only a little wider than the plant, when I noticed it is just beginning to grow a cephalium. I thought I read somewhere that melocacti don't like being disturbed once the cephalium has formed. Does the same apply to discocacti, or is it only melocacti, or is it all a load of tosh? Advice please
