This looks more like (Brasili)opuntia brasiliensis.

Cheers mate i think your right i've just googled both and there's a lot more pics coming up as brasiliensis than monacantha that looks like itTony R wrote:This looks more like (Brasili)opuntia brasiliensis.
Looks like i've got to change the label that's on it!
The pads are no more than 2 inches x 1 inches and 2m thich at the most i assume its a dwarf variety/species
