Only thing I know about it Geoff is Malej Jarda among others sells both plants and seeds of these supposed varieties. How different they really are from A. ritteri type is debatable. You need to scroll down this link for pictures. The name I believe refers to "ribs" between the ribs, the "pseudo-ribs" or folds between the actual ribs with the areoles on.

Seem to be a lot on EBAY from all the hits I got when I put the name in.

Seems some are now selling a "Strombocactus disciformis psudocorregidorae" too.

Intercostatum suggests that there should be something between the ribs? Maybe a made up name for a grafted plant that's clustering which they all do though so offset more than others depending on the stock. There's always A. Valdezii but ,of course, none of us have that one.

Thanks Dave and Stuart, the links are helpful Dave.
There is also pentacostatum.
I must confess intercostatum looks quite attractive.
Where will it all end. Thanks for the help.

The ebay listing doesn't seem to show any photos of the 5 year seedling plants offered. Strange!

From the EBAY seller information (2014-nicer) I suspect this is Jaroslav Šnicer who is connected with Malej Jarda, therefore all these varieties seen to originate from there.
