Trump helps to save cacti!

Post by Peter »

Ford Motors has announced the cancellation of it's substantial 1.6 billion dollar car plant at San Luis Potosi in Mexico, quoting Trump's determination that US industry should be supported.

That'll be a lot of Stenocacti saved then. Whoopee!

Don't forget to consider the implications for flora and fauna if Trump "cancels" the Paris climate agreement as he's previously suggested. Such a blow to tackling climate change could have profound impacts on a multitude of habitats, world over. Furthermore, if his economic policy has such strong elements of protectionism as he's pledged (i.e the high trade tariffs on Mexican goods) the prospect of a Mexican recession could only put mature habitat plants at greater risk of poaching...

No Ariocarpus habitats in Michigan, where Ford say they will now invest...
