I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news I have been informed John Cox died on Sunday in hospital
Funeral details to follow when I hear something
Please let as many people know that might not use the forum but knew John as he was well known and had lots of friends

That is sad news. He was such a kind and gentle man, with that winning smile which was impossible to avoid when he was selling Zone 3 Rally tickets!

indeed, and he will be sorely missed at the Tephrocactus Study Meetings too, and all the other events he regularly supported. Condolences to all his family.

That is very sad, he was such a kind and gentle man and great supporter of the society. I will miss him.
Obsessive Crassulaceae lover, especially Aeoniums but also grow, Aloes, Agaves, Haworthias and a select number of Cacti.

John's funeral will take place on Monday January 30th at 2.20pm at Rawdon crematorium, LS19 6JP.

Anyone know why there hasn't been anything on BCSS announce or have I just missed it

Just wanted to say how much I will miss John, he turned up to many of our Huddersfield meetings and always brought warmth and good humour to the proceedings. I'm lucky enough to have copies of all the books he put together on the history of the Society in the Bradford area - his knowledge of this history was immense as was his enthusiasm for the hobby. It won't be the same without you John, RIP.
