One of our Patrons, Anne Swithinbank, has a full page featuring succulents in the latest edition of Amateur Gardening but no mention of the BCSS that I can see....

Well that's a good patron :sad: .
Also using a pot with no obvious drainage or am I missing it.

Seriously why would she as a patron even indicate that it is acceptable to use pots without drainage holes....

It is covered in point #2 with the grit for drainage and the don't over water part of the care instructiions box.

Whilst I take your point, some people grow succulents in teraniums and bottle gardens, no good for the show bench but fine if you want a display for the bay window.
