Photo 3 first plant is Austrocylindropuntia subulata cristate with some normal stems also. If you want to keep the cristate growth, remove the normal stems, or the plant will put most of it's energy into them at the expense of the cristate bits.

They look dry at the root so it's probably a good time to tip them out of their pots and have a good all over check for bugs.
