What happens after winter
Pediocactus start to flower
Sclerocactus are still in bud
Turbinicarpus lophophoroides don't turn to mush at -4C, but they certainly don't like it
Mammillaria andersoniana certainly don't turn to mush at -4C

I'd better sow some more seed, as there are less than a thousand of them in my greenhouse!FaeLLe wrote:It is also critically endangered; less than 1000 of them left in habitat!Craney85 wrote:That last 1 is by far the best looking cactus I've ever seen!

They're very pretty, but also very small. I don't know if they eventually get big, but these seem to be fully adult.

Pediocactus running out of steam already. They do manage to cram a lot into one quarter of the year.

Echinocactus polycephalus also crams all its growth into about a quarter of the year, but doesn't start until the days get hot. I count myself lucky if they put out two areoles in a year.
