Gymnocalycium ID

Post by jadegarden »

Is this Gymnocalycium gibbosum? That's what I got it as in 2006 as a tiny offset. Finally deciding that it is time to bloom this year, but making me doubt the ID even more, since it is now filling an 8" pot and just seems to now fit the characteristics of gibbosum. More like pflanzii.

Can anyone help me to confirm this ID?

My initial thought when I saw the photos was pflanzii but I'm not a gymno expert. I'm sure someone will give you an accurate ID. Loads of buds mean plenty more flowers to come, Jan.
