Hello all,
I got this caudex plant free off someone as they no longer wanted it. I guess it is also partially because they have no idea what it is! (The SO thinks it is a turnip...).
Appreciate any help you can give, even any idea what it remotely could be or where it comes from will help.
Thanks.

Re: Unknown Caudex - ID help please
So the caudex is now in leaf, any idea what this could be please?
The leaf had some damage and gave white sap so probably a Euphorbia but it does not look like a Euphorbia Trichadenia.

Another stab.
Petopentia natalensis, used to be called Fockea tugalensis.
Is there white sap when you pull a leaf off?

By the way, if it is Petopentia then it is a Red Spider Magnet!

Re: Unknown Caudex - ID help please
The leaves and stems look very much like my Raphionacme procumbens, although the caudex does not really. Still, for what it's worth, that's my guess.
I understand it's an Asclepiad, hence the white sap.
Following on from Geoff's comment R. procumbens would be a mealy bug magnet if not RSM, so much so I almost chucked it out a few weeks ago after not checking it during the summer, the worst mealy bug infestation I have ever seen.
