Hi all, is this by any chance a M. centricirrha var.magnimamma? Spotted in a shady corner of a science lab in Portsmouth...

Hi Steve,

Surprised that no one has answered this, so thought I better had. It is most probably a Mammillaria hahniana or M.woodsii. In some instances hahniana can be a lovely clumping variety but this is obviously a large solitary chap in pretty good condition.
