Wondering if I should bin this to stop a spread of whatever this is

Echeveria purpusorum, looks as if there has been some sort of physical damage to the centre of the plant, which is already starting to grow out. The newest leaf tips in the centre look to be fine. I don't think there's any need to bin it. The damaged leaves will be replaced by new over the next year or two.

Looks like damage I have about 3 years ago & put it down to western flower thrip over wintering in the crown of certain agaves, made a mess but slowly growing out
