Lovely flowers Sylvia with very appropriate names! Thanks for sharing.

Re: Chamaecereus hybrids
I love plants with 2 tone flowers. I got some Chamaelobivia hybrids from Southfield Nurseries when I went this year; I particularly liked the red and magenta combination of this one, 'Lincoln Spitfire'.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, by I think the correct cultivar name for C. 'Evening Sun' is C. 'Rügens Abendsonne' (the second word of which means 'Evening Sun', of course, in German). According to the rules, cultivar names are not supposed to be translated.
Why bring this up now? Well I have both C. 'Evening Sun' and C. 'Rügens Abendsonne', and on reorganisi9ng my plants today, I suddenly twigged that they were actually the same...
(Anyone who wants my spare one in exchange for some other interesting plant, send me a PM.)

If I had something to exchange from your wish list - I'd take you up on the offer.

Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

Ralph,
I agree with 'translation is a no-no' rule. Mostly
Two years ago I got echinopsis hybrids seed from Russia. Fortunately I got permission from author to translate names 'as poetically as I wish'. If I didn't.. well... try to write 'Morning in the Gray House Forest' label in Russian
