Mine usually produces buds too late in the year, and they abort. I'll have to see if the North Wales sunshine suits them better than the Cardiff gloom. But I do have to say the plants are already generally growing better here.

Mine is still quite a young plant in a 3" round pot, after reading here that they need a lot more water than you may expect I have had its pot sat in a saucer of water which is kept topped up during the summer months. It has responded well to the extra water and has flowered the both years since I have been following this regime though I missed the flower this year because it happened when we were on holiday.

I think they also need a lot more room in the pot than you might expect. I guess the tuberous root takes up so much room that it is difficult to keep the small amount of growing medium moist enough to feed the buds. I take failure to flower as a sign that I should pot mine on
