mystery succulent (Dudleya?)

Post by KathyM »

does anyone know what this is? I think I grew it from seed years ago and the label is lost. I have so many plants with lost or faded labels, but this is one I don't even know the genus of.

The plant looks like Senecio Scaposus but the flower isn't from Senecio Scaposus, looks like something from the Crassula group of plants, any chance of a picture of the plant that the flower is coming from.

Sorry, I didn't realise the leaves were so out of focus. I'd taken a better photo and left it on my camera.

The leaves have a powdery texture. I'm wondering if it is a Dudleya, but they're not something I am really into so I'm not sure why I would have grown one!

The leaves are a bit smaller than I would have expected for a Dudleya, but it's not a genus I know much about. The leaves are maybe 3 to 4 cm long. It's in maybe a 10cm pot. I think the picture makes it look bigger than it is.

I can't find many pictures of Dudleya flowers online, but albiflora flowers seem to be less open ,as well as being all white, so the flowers are probably too different. Some pictures of Dudleya attenuata look to have similar leaves, but this seems to be a variable species and some look quite different.

Dudleya virens ssp. hassei is my best guess. you can see more information here.

I think it might be Dudleya viscida. The leaves look more green than grey but it does have pink flowers!

Helllo,

Dudleya viscida it is not as the leaves would be extremely sticky, hence the name, and in this country they are a bright green, or at least mine is.
